Eastern Oklahoma State College
President Dr. Steve Smith addressed a crowd gathered for the
annual Eastern Alumni Association Fish Fry recently at the White
House Alumni Center on the Wilburton campus. More than 200 alumni,
staff and community leaders gathered for fellowship and a fish
dinner complete with coleslaw, hushpuppies, beans and cornbread,
cobbler and watermelon. Smith said the annual event has always
been just a time for everyone from the foundation directors to
alumni and staff and the community leaders to get together to
visit. The first Alumni Fish Fry was held in the mid-90’s
at Beavers Bend State Park near Broken Bow. Others have been
held at Robbers Cave State Park, Wilburton. |
